A good place to begin is with paint color. You may want to use a monochromatic paint color. If you want a little more color, you can combine different colors, but just make sure they are the same intensity.
As with any purchase looking for quality is important. You want something that is made of a solid construction to with stand the test of a high use space like your dining room.
Remember that to achieve a great new look in your dining room, you don't necessarily have to change out all of your furniture. Often, just a few striking new pieces are enough to give the space a new atmosphere. If you're only investing in a few new items, it's worth it to shell out a little extra money for something really high quality. You'll save on replacement and redecorating costs down the line. Don't be afraid to mix various styles to come up with something truly unique. If most of your furniture is cottage vintage, a few well-placed industrial design elements can create a strikingly dramatic look through juxtaposition.
Redesigning your dining room can be difficult, frustrating, and most of all expensive. But it doesn't have to be this way! There are plenty of ways to stretch your designing dollar, to ensure that you get the perfect dining room furniture for your space, without spending an arm and a leg to do it!
