This home sure looks something I saw from the TV series, Grimm. A cabin in the middle of the woods where the Big Bad Wolf lives. Haha! The antler chandelier in this wonderfully designed space is just pretty and cool. White antler chandeliers are not really common as a personal choice for rustic homes because most often than not, the home owners and the designers prefer the neutral-colored ones because it usually is the main color palette in those particular space designs. In this case though, we see how much it looks well with the white shabby table and black sills.
Well, this sure is one fancy dining space! The exposed wooden beams are really pretty against the white ceiling. I like how they played with colors, as seen in the chair choice that they made. You might even try to take a look at the living area that has colorful couches and arm chairs as well. I know that we do not really see too much of this house with this angle, but we can see that the pendant lights in here are really stunning; along with the obvious vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. The contemporary colors seen in this home is quite interesting and really beautiful. The vaulted ceiling in this dining room is not as high as some of the rooms seen in this list, but the mere fact that this dining room has a vaulted ceiling, you will know how much creative and inspired the designer and the client was. This space may look simple, but sure is nice to look at and seems great for those small dinners you want to hold for your family or friends.
When we talk about reclaimed wood, it could either mean that the wood was rescued from its undesirable state or was restored to a previous natural state. I know of a group here in the Philippines that use reclaimed wood to encourage teenagers to create art works that they display in their organization office. The wood that they use are drift woods that they were able to pick up during beach clean ups. This organization is basically doing a small thing for greater causes - in terms of design - furniture or in home design, designers or clients help each other in making sure that in using reclaimed wood, they are able to save cost, save the search for building materials and save Mother Earth. The method of using reclaimed wood is not only budget-friendly but eco-friendly too. Check out the pictures below with few of the best reclaimed wood projects.
